About Hazel Walker

Hazel Walker is the red bird of redbird coaching, where she provides personal development and business coaching with a 100% success rate. She first used coaching techniques during a teaching stint in the early nineties, and took the opportunity to train with The Coaching Academy, the largest and longest established coach training company in the UK. She qualified with a distinction in corporate and executive coaching.

The majority of her working life has been spent as a journalist, on local newspapers while the kids needed her home for tea and, later, on Rupert Murdoch’s titles, The Times, Sunday Times, Sun and News of the World.

In June 2007 she was selected as a Women's Enterprise Ambassador with a brief from the Department of Trade and Industry (now the department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform) to raise awareness among women of all ages of business start-up opportunities. She offers FREE coaching to women within six months of their business startup – drop her a mail if that’s you – as part of her commitment to her role as an ambassador.

Hazel is 57 and proud of it, happily married with a daughter, a son, two stepdaughters and a beautiful little granddaughter, Tilly.

She says: "Life's sweet while I can spend time with my family and friends, learn something new, see my coaching having brilliant results, read a bestseller and watch a great movie."

She pretends to run a bit, with help and loving encouragement from her marathon-running husband.
